Examination Centre

We have a number of experienced class rating and instrument rating examiners in-house.

Our flight school can offer the following exams / flight tests in-house:

• PPL ground examinations
• Radiotelephony written and oral examinations
• PPL flight tests
• Single and multi engine class ratings (initial)
• Single and multi engine class ratings (renewals)
• Instrument Rating Renewals (aircraft and FNPT2 simulator)

CAA Test Centre

The CAA has recently decided to close down all of its regional test centres, although the full time examiners will remain in their roles.

There are currently 2 full-time examiners based in the Bournemouth area who are available for initial CPL and IR tests. In addition, a further 4 or 5 examiners live in the locality and can be called upon to assist if the full time examiners become particularly busy.

With this number of examiners available, it is rare that we have any delays between training and test. In addition, there is no requirement for positioning the aircraft to another test centre before and after test, and the test route is normally one which will have been flown during your training.
