The Elite Programme
There are two routes to obtaining your Airline Transport Pilots Licence (ATPL) under the JAR (European Licence) system; the Integrated Route and the Modular Route.
Either route will give you the qualification you need in order to be able to apply for an airline position, in both cases with less than 250 flying hours.
The Integrated Route requires you to attend one school full-time, for all your flying and ground studies, over a set 12-14 month period.
The Modular Route allows you to complete each 'module' of the flying or ground training when you wish to do so. It is therefore much more flexible for people who have work or family commitments, or who do not have the funds to pay for all the training over a short period of time.
We have put together a package which, whilst retaining the flexibility of the modular route, allows those who wish to undertake their training in a short period of time to do so, without the outlay of the large costs usually involved with the Integrated Route.
This package is our Elite Programme which consists of:
- Basic training (PPL, Night, Multi Rating and hours building) in the UK or the USA.
- ATPL ground studies by distance learning (or by full-time ground studies).
- Advanced flight training (CPL and IR).
- Advice on interview techniques, CVs etc.
The programme has built-in flexibility allowing you to choose from a number of options as to how you structure the programme.
In addition, we find that many pilots come to us having already started their training, with perhaps a PPL and a number of hours flying experience, so do not need the full programme.
Please contact us to discuss how you want to undertake your training so that we can calculate the cost of the programme.
For the answers to some common questions about the programme, please refer to our Elite Programme FAQs page
Our Elite Programme is outstanding because:
- It has the flexibility to allow training to be taken as a complete course at a very competitive price, or as a number of separate modules over an extended period, allowing the option to carry on with some paid work in parallel.
- Unlike the 'integrated route' - where one organisation provides all of the training in house, our separate modules are provided by companies who are masters of their own areas of expertise.
- Although we require you to stay in credit at all times, we do not require vast sums in advance.
Extras included in the Elite programme:
- Elite ground studies and flying kits
- M1 visa fee where required
- All UK and USA taxes
Excluded:
- Return airfares where applicable;
- CAA ATPL ground exam and flight test fees;
- CAA licence/rating issue fees;
- CAA Class One & FAA medical fees;
- Accommodation and subsistence;
- Any additional training beyond the standard course length;
- Aircraft hire for second test or subsequent tests.
(any additional training/aircraft hire will be charged at the prevailing pro-rata rates published by the individual companies).
Pre-entry Requirements:
- Class One medical;
- Proven ability in Maths and Physics;
- Students whose native tongue is not English need to provide proof of their ability to speak the English Language. This would normally be in the form of a TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) exam with a pass grade of at least 500.
Where training is to be carried out abroad:
- Students must hold a valid passport;
- A bank letter stating that £10,000 is available for flight training/accommodation
in USA.
